short-term OPEN SubmiSSIONS

Whether you are a first-time author or have previously published a book, Pure Ink Press would love to hear from you! We are currently accepting unsolicited submissions for all genres from authors in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia.

To determine whether your book is a fit for Pure Ink Press, one of our team members will read through your first draft manuscript. You will need to submit a complete draft manuscript so we can evaluate your entire manuscript accurately, giving you the best chance of acceptance. It doesn’t have to be perfect; we just want to see that all of your chapters are written instead of in outline form and that your story has potential. The minimum word count is 35,000 words for fiction and nonfiction, 25 poems for poetry books, and 40 pages for children’s picture books.

During our open submissions, we waive the $150 manuscript submission fee and therefore do not provide a full manuscript evaluation. If we feel your book is a fit for Pure Ink Press, or one of our imprints, you will receive an email with further details. A book is to be considered unselected where no communication is received within 45 days after submission.
